Gypsophilia = Baby's Breath
Perennial - will come back each year.
Ideal for cut flowers or drying.
Tips for growing Gypsophilia;
1. Well-Drained Soil
Gypsophila thrives in well-drained soil that is slightly alkaline. They don't like heavy, waterlogged soil, so ensure the ground drains well by adding organic matter like compost or sand. If your soil is acidic, you can amend it with lime to raise the pH slightly.
2. Full Sun
These plants love the sun! Make sure they receive at least 6 hours of full sunlight per day for optimal growth and flowering. Inadequate sunlight can result in leggy, weak growth and fewer blooms.
3. Moderate Watering
Gypsophila prefers moderately dry conditions once established. Water them deeply but allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it’s important not to let them sit in soggy soil.
